INDIVIDUALIZED LEARNING PLAN

Whether you child needs are immediate – like passing the next exam – or long term support, I start with an in-depth assessment, then create an individualized educational plan for your child to match their academic needs and personality.

I continually see students who are missing a key maths skill that has not been established from some earlier point in time. This missing building block becomes magnified as the maths becomes more complex. The result is a frustrated and lost student.

I recognize that making a difference in a student’s academic performance has an impact not only on their studies, but also their confidence, organizational/study skills and future options.

One to one tutoring allows students to progress at their own pace, free from peer pressure and embarrassment, and when intimidation and fear of failure are removed, the opportunity is there to gain confidence and also to engage more with the subject which in turn leads to potential future successes.

Tutees typically improve 1 sub level in the first term

(eg 4c to 4b).

Students learn in so many different ways and I take time to understand what works best. I will identify and rebuild any foundation skills in need of revision whilst also helping develop new skills to meet current and future needs.

GCSE Tutoring

Many Year 10 and 11 students struggle in preparing for their exams or in improving their grades. As subject matter becomes more and more complex, it can be difficult for a student to keep up. To make matters more complicated, many students are shy and find it intimidating to speak up in class. Whether a student simply needs to brush up on exam-taking techniques, or needs a thorough exam preparation course, I can provide the necessary tools for success.

Our daughter has really grown in confidence throughout in maths, and we are very proud of what she has achieved. We are also very thankful she was able to have a tutor that enabled her to grow and stretch her learning. She was delighted to be able to share her GCSE Level 9 result with you on results day.               L.S.
